Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, this practice is highly individualized and tailored to what ails you specifically. Acupressure treats blocked Qi (energy) within the body by applying manual pressure to specific points on the body, improving the Qi flow. The treatment can also consist of cupping, Gua Sha (scraping), and the application of Moxibustion (warming) to various points along the Meridians (energetic pathways) to release blockages and improve the flow of Qi.
Each Meridian is theoretically connected with an organ and emotion that can be disrupted by deficient or excess energy. This is a holistic approach to healing the mind, body, and energy.

Cupping therapy is an ancient healing method that helps ease back pain, neck pain, headaches and other issues. It uses suction to increase blood flow to the affected area. This healing modality is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine's (TCM) Meridian theory. It helps to remove stagnation in targeted areas of the body, and opens the meridians so that qi can flow freely. Cupping also helps to rejuvenate certain meridians and organs that are not functioning at their best.
Cupping can be booked as a standalone treatment, or as a supplement to our customized massage if you would like a bit more time on the table with cups.

EAR SEED ACUPRESSURE
Ear seeding, also referred to as auricular acupressure, is a noninvasive technique that stimulates pressure points on the ear. It is similar to the technique of auricular acupuncture, but does not use needles.
Ear seeding is the process of placing tiny beads that can be made of actual seeds, metals, or stones, attached to a small piece of adhesive material in strategic locations on the surface of the ear. It can be used to treat a variety of ailments from stress and anxiety, insomnia, head or body aches, lack of focus, immunity and more.
Our typical treatment includes 5 seeds per ear following the NADA protocol, but also allows for an additional 3 seeds per ear to treat specific ailments as needed. Standard treatment includes 24k gold plated stainless steel seeds, but we also offer Swarovski crystal seeds for an additional $15. It takes approximately 10 minutes, and is super easy and painless. Ear Seed Acupressure is included with our 30, 60, and new client acupressure sessions.

Community Acupuncture
Community Acupuncture is designed as a way of offering Chinese medicine in an accessible format. It's a means of giving back to our hardworking, overstressed community in a way that is affordable to all. It's ideal for both first time and seasoned acupuncture clients.
Community (or group) acupuncture is offered in a room with several zero-gravity chairs, where individuals can join each other in holding a healing space. Please wear loose-fitting clothing to your session, as most points will be from the elbows and knees down. There will be a short intake form and you will speak with our practitioner for a few minutes, have your pulse taken, and after points are inserted, your will be able to rest for about 30 minutes. People seek acupuncture for a variety of reasons, including (but not limited to) physical injury, acute and chronic pain, colds flu and immune support, reproductive health, allergies and respiratory issues, digestive health concerns, mental and emotional wellness, auto-immune conditions, insomnia, and more.
We will hold healing sessions once a month at our sibling space, The Yoga Dojo, with Sarah Coghlan, DACM, L.Ac. Relax and receive a 45-minute treatment for a sliding scale amount of $20-50 ($20 minimum is required to reserve your space, additional amount can be contributed post-treatment).
